Abstract
ASSAf in collaboration with Zimbabwe Academy of Sciences (ZAS) hosted a meeting for Zimbabwean scientists in the diaspora in September 2016. The purpose of the meeting was to connect expatriate Zimbabwean young and senior scientists in South Africa, with a view to exploring possibilities for the scientists to contribute towards supporting and strengthening ZAS and the Zimbabwe Young Academy of Science (ZIMYAS) and in turn, the science system in Zimbabwe.
