More Detail
Abstract (English) : A panel of leading researchers and industry voices critically examined the role of AI companions today—from chatbots that power commerce, to digital partners in scientific discovery, and care-bots supporting clinical settings.
This June Lekgotla invites participants to explore how such technologies enhance human capability, while also prompting important questions about error, dependency, autonomy, and responsibility, as well as noting unintended consequences from using such chatbots.
Aimed at a broad scholarly audience, the session will offer accessible yet rigorous reflections on the evolving relationship between humans and machine intelligence.
